Stripes In The City

Oh Sydney, you honestly can’t decide what season you are! It’s honestly the most up and down time of year right now. Today I shot a look that was heavily layered (stay tuned for that one!) but tonight’s article was shot last week in Paddington, which somewhat resembled to a beautiful spring day! It’s so hard to dress when the weather man can’t make his mind up, so I opted for breathable layering. Stripes are quickly occupying my wardrobe, and it’s a print that is always on trend. Midi dresses are great for both winter and spring and it’s definitely a length that requires a heel, just to give you that added height. Being only 5ft 3, sometimes this length can look unflattering on me, and after my mum telling me maxi dresses are a no no (love her honesty!) I’ve swayed more towards this length as my compromise.

Living in the city, a block heel is recommended especially when running errands. Ankle boots are my go to shoe on weekends and casual days, but couldn’t resist them with this look as wanted to style this outfit a little less dressy and more bohemian, hence the floppy hat! Plus the sole of the shoe matches the hat and the neutral tones throughout. It’s been a while since I have worn a hat, and it’s a great accessory for the colder months. Throughout the winter, I have been channeling more tailoring as it’s great to layer, so this blazer was a nice addition to this bohemian inspired look.

How cool are these earrings? Check out Alfa-Alfa on Instagram here to enter this months competition. They are teaming up with a great collective of brands, closes 10th August!

Hope you are keeping up to date with my Instagram. Heading away this weekend, and honestly it couldn’t have come at the best time. I’M GOING SNOWBOARDING! Seriously can’t wait, as it’s my first time to the snow! Obviously I’ve built snowman and choreographed sno angels in the UK, but never headed to the mountains. Bought by ski pants today (gross), so my love and I will be doing the 7 hour road trip Friday morning. That snow will match all my other white piccies! Awesome. Be prepared for a lot of snow photography!
