Notting Hill Ethereal Bohemian

Today’s weather was just perfect! The sunshine reflected off the dreamy white houses and the quiet streets were the audience for birds chirping from the blossom trees. This is what we know as spring. Notting Hill isn’t just known for it’s movie roots but also for it’s high end vintage markets on Portobello Road, so it seemed fitting to get my bohemian look on with floppy hat in hand.

My playsuit had a gypsy feel to it with the batwing arms and flowing chiffon lightness. I must say, this is the first time I have bared my legs in the UK this year! But the sun felt warm so it was refreshing to not wear tights. I’ve been trying to change up my wardrobe over the last few months adding more black pieces as it’s easy chic. As they say “black is the new black” and will always be in fashion. I’m also loving my new black ankle boots this season and think they look great shorter dress lengths. A perfect transition from winter to spring.

Last summer I had a slight obsession with kimonos and so pleased that they are still going to be around for this years hotter months. The lace and cream kimono that I styled here showcased a more ethereal mood and love the movement it had when walking the streets of London. I really hope this weather sticks around for the next week. Us girls would like to get our legs out more please.

London In Co-ordinates

Hello spring! Today was a glorious day in London. The sun has finally graced us with its presence and finally I could feel warmth on my skin. The city is really pretty in the springtime and the blossom trees are slowly starting to bud. Everyone is in a better mood and starts to look forward to longer daytimes and a cocktail outdoors.

The Embankment was bustling today. Street performers were out and summer had come early for the ice cream traders. It was the perfect weather to wear my new Asos co-ordinate. I'm so pleased this trend has come so far over the last year and really a fan of the trouser/crop top version this season. It's just right for spring as not too heavy, not too light. I styled it with a silk nude jacket which I thought will also be nice as a cover up for the beaches of Australia in a few weeks.

It's so difficult knowing what to pack for my move, so any purchases before I leave are going to be light and neutral so that I can mix and match when I get there. But before my packing stress kicks in, I am enjoying my last couple of weeks in the UK with family and friends. I am heading back to London on Monday so will have another city post for you next week!
