All Access: Boohoo.com Coverage For V Music

Changing things up a little today! One of the first posts I've done that combines a personal style post and Boho Behind The Lens. Last night I had the pleasure of attending The Wombats gig on The Island Bar, Sydney. 5 bloggers were chosen in Australia to cover this event, so I was thoroughly pleased to be within that selection. I met Andrea and Alisha to shoot this look just before we boarded the boat over to The Island. The rain clouds just cleared up in time! Lucky us. Is it just me or is anyone else obsessing over the 70's trend right now that is hitting London Fashion Week? I am seriously obsessed, and for a boho lover like myself, this era could not come around quick enough!

I have enough tassels in my wardrobe to keep the cats company for a while (do not hang these items where kitties wish to play with them!). I have been dying to layer my outfits so when the weather dropped a few degrees today, I certainly wasn't complaining! Totally ready for Autumn, and think this will be one of the best to come! Currently swooning over this crisp white bag and matching clean hi-low shirt that is nothing I've come across before. Boohoo, your shorts did Sydney proud. They were a glamorous hippie choice and got a few compliments on them. I can see myself styling with an oversized chunky knit and over the knee boots in the coming months. Too exciting!

My first experience on The island Bar did not disappoint. A short boat ride over, to an intimate audience with a British band that brings back my University days! They brought the house down with classics like "Joy Division" and "Moving To New York". So many great memories of these tunes, the days I was not burying my head in books! Looking forward to my next trip there. Next time I will snap the token "drinking from a coconut selfie" that it's well know for!

BEHIND THE SCENES // AUGUST STREET SS 15/16 SHOWINGS

A small, intimate audience had the pleasure of attending August Street and Pink Stitch's spring summer 15/16 collection last week. Masculine tailoring, feminine prints and avant-garde accentuated styles graced the runway. An eye catching collection that you'll find yourself accruing for that summer getaway.

Pool Pinstripes

When was the last time you wore a suit to a pool? Probably the same answer as mine……never! So thought I’d bend the rules a little and experiment with tailoring in a different environment. This article is part two of my trip to the Central Coast with Andrea. She knows I am a sucker for a pool, and was telling me about this quiet little spot not far from her mums. It’s nothing like Bondi Iceberg’s. It’s raw and untouched. The colour of the water isn’t as perfect as Iceberg’s but that’s because the bottom isn’t painted white. It’s beauty is quite simply natural and the water looked pretty cold!

I tip-toed around the pool and most definitely looked out of place, but what makes this location work are the pinstripes. Baby blue to match the sky and wide fitting culottes that moved perfectly with the ocean breeze. Plus, I love a location I’ve never photographed before! Last month, I discovered NZ brand Glassons whilst bumbling around the Junction. Pleasantly surprised by the affordable price tags and minimalist approach to fashion, I was craving more and my wish list is ever growing. The suit I had my eye on for the last few weeks, and for only $100 you can’t go wrong. It’s something I can see myself wearing with a roll neck sweater and trench coat layered in the colder months. The shoes I bought in the UK, but thought I’d style them up with a pair of Bondi Laces. Every pair you purchase is a months worth of education for a child in need. Such a good charity to donate too, whilst looking snazzy all at the same time!
