The White Off-Shoulder

I’m a habitual person at the best of times. When something works for me, I tend to stick to it. In the food department that’s sushi right now but in my closet it’s the off-shoulder top. There’s something a little sexy about tan shoulders. They are the first to be sun kissed in the warmer months so why not let them show! Plus, it’s flattering on most females. My collection is growing at a rapid rate, and I know it’s going to be my ‘go to basic’ coming into summer. It can be dressed up for those festive parties with a detailed skirt or tailored wide leg, or worn casual for your Sunday brunch dates with slouched denim or linen. Today’s look is one of my favourite colour palettes - Monochrome.

Fringing has been absent from my posts as of late, but after seeing the beautiful detailing on this skirt it was time to introduce it back into my summer wardrobe. I’ve actually had this skirt for a couple of weeks, but wore it in a way I wasn’t happy with the first time. It’s easy to over style, so instead of just posting a look I wasn’t happy with, I went back to the Pinterest board to figure out the best way to dress it that was more me. I’ve been on the hunt for an off-shoulder loose fitting top for a few weeks, and knew when H&M opened on Pitt Street I’d find one just fine! I also picked up this choker, which I couldn’t resist as it’s a little different to my usual dainty pieces. The look is finished off with a pair of retro round sunnies, which add that extra touch of 70's.

I've also had a hair refresh at Edward's & Co salon. Decided to stick with the subtle balayage, but opted for a blunter cut this visit to keep the thickness throughout.  Loving the texture it gives!
