Sydney Fashion Week: All Black Everything

What an awesome first fashion week in Sydney! It was definitely an experience I want to do all over again in six months. I'm not sure my fashion obsession can wait that long! So many gorgeous styles and trends showcased and it was my opportunity to show you some of my work behind the camera. I headed down for three of the five days and met some bloggers that I follow and admire. What a great pleasure meeting them all. It was the perfect opportunity to get talking to them and take some shots of their fashion week inspirational outfits. This first post focused on the all black trend that is so effortlessly chic and sophisticated. It was a huge hit on the runways and finally becoming easy to wear now the weather has cooled down in Sydney. I have always loved wearing a simple black leather jacket and fedora, but these girls show us how to style it further than that.

An all black look is my favourite when the weather turns a little cooler. It's the time to dust the cobwebs off the trusty leather jacket. Thankfully I was bought this super chic journal to help me take notes for the face paced madness that is Sydney Fashion Week.

Leather Jacket: Reiss
Shirt Dress: Vintage
Sunglasses: Karen Walker
Shoes: Miista

These Aussie ladies can really rock this trend and I guess it looks so much better with a golden tan and effortless approach to fashion. It's not overdone to look too stylish or extravagant which is exactly the way it should be styled. It's the trend for the career driven women that want to buy into style without taking a leap out of her comfort zone. It's powerfully simple.
